The African Water Facility (AWF) has launched on August 29 a call for concept notes proposal under the theme of urban sanitation for the poor in Sub-Saharan Africa.
The AWF will fund ten projects that promise to address the needs and to sustainably improving the sanitation situation of a densely populated urban poor community, or of a small to medium size town relying mainly on latrines and septic tanks.
The funds allocated to finance projects selected will vary from 800 000 Euro to 1 200 000 Euro for a duration of 24 to 36 months.
The legal entities those are eligible to submit their concept notes on September 30 at the latest are urban authorities and local governments, urban sanitation service providers and service providers grouped together in partnerships.
